Statement of Intent for my sisters house

"My Sisters' House" is a modern collaboration of open spaces and gestural moments to create for a more sculptural living environment for teenage mothers and their children.

narrative statement

Our original intent for this project was to create a modern home for young mothers to safely raise their children. We have used the 90's decade to influence our work through looking at the work of its designers and artists. We have used this knowledge to develop floor plans and the exterior to our buildings. Our group still has much more work to do on this project but we have developed an idea of where we would like to go.

Light Machine

Currently in 2nd year Iarc we are doing a project in which we are researching and designing hypothetical possibilities for next years urban studio. Our most recent assignment is to build a machine that will help us to see what kind of light the site has. So we took pictures of our machine in 5 different locations on the site at three different times of the day. Its been cloudy for the past two days so my findings really didn't differ that much from time to time. These are the morning results. As you can see there aren't really any shadows.
